Sewing Machine Basics at AMEND+ADAPT Studio (hosted by Topaz M. Terry)
Thursday, March 5th, 5:30-8pm / Thursday, March 19, 5:30-8pm / Saturday, March 21, 3:00-5:30pm
Sewing Machine Basics: Perfect for anyone curious about sewing, this 2.5 hour, hands-on workshop guides you through the fundamentals of using a sewing machine. You'll create a practical Utility Pouch from start to finish, while building confidence in your new skill. No prior experience needed, and all materials and basic sewing tools are included.
These are held a few times each month so if these dates/times don’t work make sure to check back in future months!

Upcycled Denim Utility Apron Workshop: In this one day hands-on workshop, you will put new life into an old pair of jeans by transforming them into a utility apron, perfect for working the grill or enjoying a hobby.
This is a one day hands-on workshop. During the class, you'll be introduced to various tools and sewing techniques, By the end of the class, not only will you walk away with a one-of-a-kind utility apron, but you'll also gain valuable skills that you can apply to future sewing projects. We are finally opening our bookstore/community space in Brookland neighborhood.
